These 3 skeins were my experiment with dyeing this gorgeous yarn and learning how to dye it.
The yarn is slightly felted and therefore is not up to my usual standards. Hence the reduced price.

This is a one of a kind colourway and will not be repeated.

Base: No nylon sock yarn 4 ply

80% Merino wool 20% Lincoln wool

Worsted spun with high twist.

Gentle hand wash as this is non treated yarn.

400m per 100gr.

At a time when people want to get away from plastics (Nylon) and use natural products grown and made here in New Zealand, our blend of 20% Lincoln Strongwool with 80% of our soft Merino will fill the gap for 100% natural sock wool. With its high twist for extra strength this new yarn has been eagerly awaited!

The Lincoln sheep is one of the oldest known British longwool sheep breeds with a history going back hundreds of years. Lincoln sheep arrived in New Zealand in the 1840s. The wool they produce is long and strong with a beautiful lustre.
